Anand, Brian, Dev...

Mr. Brian was one of the wealthiest persons in Gorakhpur. He was so rich that he had specific servants for doing specific jobs. For Example: Motu was hired for polishing his shoes, Chotu for polishing the silverware, etc. Dev was one of the servants. Dev had the specific job of shopping. He did all the shopping for the Brian household.

Dev's dad Anand was a big fan of James Bond movies. Apparently, He was first selected for the role played by Vijay Amritraj in Octopussy, But he fell down and broke his wrist on the day of the shoot and the role went to Amritraj. Also, Anand didn't know a word of english. The butler english he spoke was mainly developed by watching James Bond movies. Other than that, He was totally jobless...

One Winter day, Dev fell ill. As much as Anand insisted, Dev was adamant that nothing was wrong and went to work. Unfortunately, Mr. Brian had a lot of guests that day so Dev had to do a lot of shopping. Soon it became dark and Dev still hadn't finished his shopping and returned home. Anand started to worry. He was very worried that Dev might have collapsed on the road because of exhaustion. So he decided to call Mr. Brian to enquire about Dev. Since he wanted to appear literate and intelligent, he decided to speak in English. Somu (Who was incharge of answering the phone) answered the call and told him Dev was OK and was out shopping.

Dev returned by 11PM and was pretty pissed. He had asked Anand to never call him at work. He thought this would make him look unprofessional.

Dev said " Dad, Do you think all of us are jobless like you? Why did you call? Don't worry about me."

Anand said " No.. No.. I dint tell nothing..
I dial Brian... Is Dev ill or shop.. That's all..."
